"Electra" by Modern Research in Sound and Vibration is an industrial experimental recording, made exclusively with the use of sound machines built by Ivan Papadopoulos from industrial parts, old devices, mechanisms and various objects he collected from junk shops, scrap yards, flea markets and abandoned factories.

The silkscreen printed cover emphasizes on raw material, depicting part of a sound machine that looks like a cold, metallic burial field. Combined with the white microfiber inner sleeve, a reference to the linen fabric of a tunic, they express the theme of Sophocles' tragedy (Electra).

The structure of the gatefold is based on the classic archival folders, laying emphasis on the experimental character of the recordings. Via a clean and minimal, black-and-white layout, the 12-page inner sleeve points out the overall raw and primitive aesthetic of the project.

"Electra" was released on 250 numbered vinyl copies.
